Our Story
Rooted in the Nile Delta. Trusted Worldwide.
MisrFlax was built on a simple conviction: the finest flax in the world grows in Egypt, and the world's best textile manufacturers deserve access to it.
Our Heritage
Generations of Flax Expertise
Egypt has cultivated flax for more than 5,000 years. The ancient Egyptians wrapped their pharaohs in linen, traded it across the Mediterranean, and built an agricultural tradition that endures to this day. MisrFlax is the modern expression of that heritage.
Founded by a family with deep roots in Nile Delta agriculture, MisrFlax began as a regional fiber supplier and grew into one of Egypt's most trusted flax exporters. Over four decades, we have built direct relationships with farmers across the Delta's most productive growing regions — ensuring consistent supply, traceable origin, and the quality that global buyers demand.
Today, MisrFlax supplies textile manufacturers in more than 25 countries. But our operating model remains the same: source directly from the farm, process with precision, and export with integrity.
Sourcing Regions
Where Our Flax Grows
We source exclusively from the Nile Delta — the most fertile agricultural zone in Egypt and one of the world's premier flax-growing regions. Our network spans three primary growing areas, each with distinct soil and climate characteristics.
Kafr el-Sheikh Governorate
The heart of Egyptian flax cultivation. Rich alluvial soils deposited over millennia by the Nile produce long-staple fiber of exceptional fineness. Our largest sourcing region.
Primary sourcing regionDakahlia Governorate
Known for its consistent growing conditions and well-established irrigation networks. Dakahlia farmers have cultivated flax for generations, producing reliable mid-season harvests.
Consistent qualityGharbia Governorate
The western Delta's slightly drier microclimate produces flax with particularly strong fiber tensile strength — preferred by European mills for technical linen applications.

Quality Standards
From Field to Shipment — Quality at Every Step
Our quality management system covers the entire supply chain, from farm selection and harvest timing to processing, grading, and export documentation.
Farm Selection & Agronomic Support
We work exclusively with vetted farms that meet our agronomic standards. Our field agronomists visit partner farms throughout the growing season to monitor crop health, soil conditions, and harvest readiness.
Harvest & Retting Supervision
Harvest timing is critical to fiber quality. Our team supervises pulling, retting, and drying to ensure optimal fiber separation and minimal degradation. Both dew-retting and water-retting methods are managed to specification.
Processing & Grading
All fiber passes through our processing facility where it is scutched, hackled, and graded by trained technicians. Each batch is tested for fiber length, fineness, moisture content, and cleanliness before being approved for export.
Certification & Documentation
Every shipment is accompanied by full certification documentation including phytosanitary certificates, certificate of origin, quality test reports, and applicable organic or standard certifications.
Export & Logistics
We manage all export logistics from our processing facility to port of loading. Our export team handles customs clearance, freight coordination, and documentation to ensure on-time delivery to your facility.
What We Stand For
Our Commitments
Traceability
Every bale we ship can be traced back to the farm it came from. We believe buyers have the right to know exactly where their fiber originates.
Farmer Partnerships
We pay fair prices and provide agronomic support to our farm partners. Sustainable sourcing starts with sustainable farming relationships.
Consistency
Global manufacturers need reliable supply. We maintain buffer stock and multi-region sourcing to ensure we can fulfill orders on schedule, year after year.
Transparency
No hidden fees, no opaque pricing. Our export quotes are detailed and our documentation is complete. We want long-term relationships built on trust.
